Updated: 2 days ago

When People picture China, they often imagine old buildings, busy streets, and factories. But modern China is very different. It is growing fast and has many new and smart ideas.

It is more developed than many people think.

Big cities like Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou look very modern. There are tall buildings, clean streets, and fast trains. The metro systems are cheap, fast, and easy to use.

Some trains go faster than 350lm/h!

In China, most people don't use cash anymore. They pay for things with their phone. Even in small markets, you can pay by scanning a QR code. This is very common, and makes daily life fast and easy.

But attention, if you don't have internet and the App of ALIPAYS or WEECHAT in your phone, you will be stuck with methods of payment!

China is also building smart cities. These cities are planned with green park, clean energy and smart technology.

One of the most famous things about Shangai is its Skyline

You can see it best from the Bund, a place along the river.

Across the water, tall towers like Shanghai Tower and the Oriental Pearl Tower light up the night. The skyline looks like something from a movie - it shows how fast and modern China has become.

Beijing

Beijing is the capital city of China. It is a mix of old and new. In one part of the city, you can see ancient temples and palaces. In another part, you will find modern buildings, shopping malls, and busy roads. Beijing is also the center of politics, culture and the main place that gathers them is the Tiennamen Square, similar to the Red Square in Moscow.

One of the most famous places in Biejing is also the Forbidden City. It was the home of Chinese emperors for hundreds of years. Today, it is a museum where people can learn about China's long history. It is nearby Tiennammen Square, one of the largest public squared in the world.

Just outside Beijing is the Great Wall of China. It is one of most famous landmarks on Earth. The wall is very old very long - it goes over mountains and through valleys. Many people visit the Great every year to walk on it and enjoy the views. It shows the strength and history of the Chinese people.
